The San Diego Tortilla Factory is an Australian Family owned business (with an American and Australian Heritage).
We specialise in manufacturing and distributing only the best when it comes to Mexican inspired tortillas. Our tortillas can be used in a wide variety of recipes, whether you’re looking for a simple snack for the kids or a full-fledged gourmet meal.
Diego’s was founded in 1995 when our family realised that Australia was lacking something special – a great white corn tortilla. We started by producing an authentic Mexican corn tortilla, also referred to as a Mexican flat bread and soon moved on to a flour tortilla. We felt these healthy bread alternatives were an excellent addition to any kitchen cabinet.
At the time, you couldn’t walk into your average grocery or retail store and buy tortillas. Now, after our introduction of tortillas to the Australian market in 1996, you’re unlikely to walk into a store that doesn’t sell either a Diego’s Brand or one produced by our Diego's family. After more than 13 years, we’re proud to continue offering a full line of Mexican tortillas and wraps – all fresh, healthy, and ready for you to enjoy.
We now ship our tortillas and wraps not only to local retailers and wholesalers of food service tortillas but to retailers and wholesalers nationally as well as internationally. Because of our desire to make sure you receive the freshest products possible, our goal is to continue to research the best methods for producing high-quality Tortillas that remain fresh while keeping the longest shelf life possible.
Our international relationships are growing and retailers and restaurants from as far away as New Zealand, Vanuatu, and even Singapore are taking advantage of the fresh, flavorful tortillas produced by Diego’s. It doesn’t matter where in the world you’re located – if you want fresh tortillas all you need to do is get in touch and we’ll find a way to help you introduce Diego’s to your store shelves or restaurant menu.
Our Diego’s range now includes attributes such as low fat, low sugar, high fiber, low Gi, low salt, wheat free, yeast free and gluten free.
