 The San Diego Tortilla Factory

As an Australian/American Family owned Company we are dedicated to manufacturing and distributing premium Tortillas locally, nationally and internationally. We commenced business in 1995 and began production of the White Corn Tortilla as we had the firm belief that Australian's were ready for the White Corn Tortilla that is an authentic Mexican flat bread which has been noted to be lower in fat and sugars and is gluten free. This Tortilla was something that was non-existent on a retail level and has been a retail success since its introduction in 1996. Close to follow was our range of authentically produced and value added Flour Tortilla Wraps. In the year ‘2005’ we celebrated 10 years of continuous growth and success.

We are a Company that uses HACCP principles to ensure food saftey. We have a certified HACCP Plan, we  meet WQA (Woolworths Quality Assurance) Standards and we are audited twice yearly.

Due to the geographical size of the Australian consumer market it has always been a continuing challenge for us to ensure that our products are consistently fresh and maintain their authentic texture and flavour, while still retaining an adequate shelf life. To ensure all of these goals are met our research and development have always played a significant part in creating new products and improving and enhancing our current range of tortillas.

Aside from our successful National Retail, Foodservice and Private Label business we continue to attract the attention of more International Companies, including areas as diverse as Singapore, Vanuatu and New Zealand. Our unquestionable resolve to satisfy customer needs has won us praise from the consumers who call upon us, as well as the many companies and organizations we serve. We offer phone and mail-out information along with a 'Recipe book' on this website to help in the ‘using and enjoying’ of our Tortillas. A new 'Recipe of the month' is posted for your enjoyment each month. A product mailing service is provided to those customers who do not have ready access to our products in the supermarkets.
